Music on the Mind

Dubstep Returns to Baltimore
Post-Pandemic Music Return
May 30, 2021, Subtronics brought a heavy star-studded line up of bass music to Baltimore's downtown music scene. Sponsored by Monster Energy, his Outbreak Tour was an outdoor show with familiar faces in the bass community supported by Boogie-T, Dirt Monkey, He$h, Level Up and Zia. The crowds energy was felt even before approaching Power Plant Live with the subtle sounds of bass lines and screams from the crowd. My heart rate increased with every step approaching the end of Market Place. The lights, bass, and fans were in full swing upon the beginning of Boogie-T's back to back set with Dirt Monkey. The combination of funky wobble bass, extended build-up's, drum n' bass breaks and a heavy closing, The duo prepared the dance floor properly for the headliner to blow us away with heavy bass! The anticipation of the cyclops visuals to his followers were shortly introduced with an intense bass drop. The combination of lights, lasers, visuals and the sound system cranked to the max, headbangers shook the rail, the mosh pits opened upon multiple places on the floor, water was flying in the air as I looked upon the crown from above on the bridge crossing that connected between the two buildings. Reuniting with friends I have not seen in over a year was a beautiful feeling. This picture embodies how happy we all were and how grateful we were to return to some normalcy. From lockdown, live streams, drive-ins to a mob of bass heads going into the night that but a breath into Baltimore's nightlife is just the beginning of the next phase. This was just a statement that we are ready for live music. Last night and tonight June 11-12, 2021, Zedd will be the first artist back playing at D.C's world famous night club, Echostage. Last night was a sold out show for the number one club in the USA. I look forward to the shows, festivals and travels I will make this year. 2021 will be the year that will revive music. Keep Raging my friends!👽
