The Push for Live Events: Ubbi Dubbi Beats EDC to the Main Stage.

April 21, 2021, Pasquale Rotella announced that Electric Daisy Carnival will be pushed back from May 21-23 to October 22-24, 2021. With being one of the largest and longest standing EDM festivals to date, many fans had anticipated dancing under the electric sky once again.

Unfortunately, due to updated restrictions, "Clark County (home of EDC & the Las Vegas Motor Speedway) passed a reopening plan that requires 60% of their residents to be vaccinated before restrictions over large scale gatherings such as EDC can be lifted. " (Bain, 2021)

In result, EDC has been pushed to October, but a different story was brewing in Texas. Promoter, and the first organization to throw a huge return to live music Disco Donnie had Ubbi Dubbi, and a total of 60,000 ravers through the weekend attend the first EDM festival in over a year post-pandemic.

Headlining artists like Kaskade, ATLiens, Illenium and Liquid Stranger to name a few gave the crowd what they had been anticipating for what felt like an eternity. Being back in the lights, music, friends and electricity in the air. Hopefully there's more to come, and I look forward to seeing all of you at the festivals this summer.
